Summary: We previously stayed at the apartment in 2018 and had been really impressed by the location, the quality of the apartment and the check in process, so were keen to re-book this year when coming back to Avoriaz. Things started poorly with the check in process. We drove to Avoriaz from the UK and based our arrival time on the check-in times given to us for the booking. On calling the owners concierge to inform him we were around 1 hour away, we were told the property would not be ready until 3 hours after the check-in time. When we did get into the property, it had not been cleaned, and was in a poor state of repair. Cupboards we broken and not possible to close, door handles falling off of the toilet door, and plugs & light switches that were coming away from the walls. On our first stay at this property we loved it, and found it to be in a good condition. 5 years later it is all looking rough round the edges. The location of the apartment is fantastic. It is next-door to the underground carpark, there is a Sherpa supermarket attached to the building, and a boulangerie opposite. The view of Les Hauts-Forts from the balcony are spectacular. From the apartment it is easy to ski to the main part of town for all the local ski schools. If the apartment is given some renovation, we would consider coming back. But in it's current state, we would be looking at other apartments in the same area.
